meet Fermina

Fermina is a kind-hearted women. She is 45 years old and speaks only the native Inca language, Quechua. Fermina is married and has 3 children, Rosa, Graciano and Indria. She enjoys waking up early to cook for her family. She spends her days caring for her alpaca and spinning yarn. Fermina appreciates chewing coca leaves daily. Coca leaves have been chewed traditionally for centuries among the indigenous peoples to help with altitude sickness and fatigue. Besides spinning yarn and knitting, Fermina also likes to make 'mantas' or blankets on a loom. Fermina is an expert when it comes to shearing the alpacas and we value her knowledge very much.
